Always experiment to get just the right amount of each ingredient to suit your taste. Every cook's salsa tastes a little different, and that's part of the fun.


Ingredients: avocado, garlic, cilantro, and chili serrano (or chili jalapeno).

Wash the chilies and the cilantro well.

Cut a quarter wedge from the avocado. Drop it in the blender.

Add the garlic.

Break any stems off the chili and drop it in the blender.

Add the cilantro.

Some cooks like to break the cilantro up a little bit, but the blender doesn't really care.

Add water to the level shown.

Avacado salsa is a thick and creamy salsa, and so be sure not to add too much water.

Salt to taste. About a half teaspoon is plenty.

Blend the ingredients until everything is cut up and you've got a creamy mix.

Pour it out, and it's ready to use.
